The one way streets near the Old Course do without "no-entry" signs and use "no turn except cyclists" instead (see also #15199).

Contraflow cycle lane on a one-way (for cars) street but no "no-entry" signs. As cars park to their right, the contraflow is in the door zone, but approaching cyclists come from the front, increasing visibility.

They like wheel benders in St Andrews.
